Ce samedi 9 août, c’était le grand final de cette 47e édition du Tour de Burgos, avec l’arrivée jugée au sommet des Lagunas de Neila (6,4 km à 9,1 %). Après la prise de pouvoir de Léo Bisiaux (Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale) lors de la 3e étape, et au lendemain de la victoire en échappée du vétéran italien Damiano Caruso (Team Bahrain Victorious), ce sont les favoris qui se sont disputé la victoire. Au sommet de cette mythique ascension, C’est Giulio Ciccone (Lidl-Trek) qui s’est montré le plus fort, s’imposant devant Isaac Del Toro (UAE Team Emirates-XRG), lequel remporte par la même occasion le classement général. Lorenzo Fortunato (XDS–Astana Team) complète le podium. Le Français Léo Bisiaux a craqué et termine 11e de cette étape, à 51 secondes du vainqueur du jour.
