Scotland is gearing up for another bout of extreme weather as snow flurries and strong winds sweep through the region. The Met Office has issued a yellow alert for snow and ice impacting areas to the north of Stirling and around Fort William. Meteorologists predict that several centimeters of snow could accumulate, with even heavier snowfall anticipated in elevated areas.

Simultaneously, powerful winds are affecting parts of the UK, with gusts hitting up to 70 miles per hour in certain coastal regions. These conditions could result in travel interruptions, including delays in roadways, rail services, ferries, and flights. ScotRail has already implemented speed limits on various routes, and some ferry operations on Scotland’s west coast have been impacted.
