Need help on lgbtq topic

Hi everyone, I’m not from the Caribbean im just here to try and look for answers for a paper I have to do. So I’m in Medimun, a competition done by the MUN and they gave us 3 topics to write a paper about. I’m in an alliance with St Vincent and the Grenadines and we have to write a paper about how we’re against these rights because both our countries are against them. My country is Islamic and this is the reason for it. Im just curious as to why St Vincent is against them, if there’s any particular reason for them such as religion, or if there’s a difference between laws and society ( government treats gay ppl like shit but society doesn’t ).
