Bridges are incredibly important to travel in the US. Connecting areas that would otherwise be separated from each other. This greatly reduced travel times between locations, in turn boosting the areas economically. In places like the Bay Area, a simple bridge between San Francisco and Oakland can take off an hour and a half of travel time and connect two important cities, they are so incredibly important to this country.
