Is tipping a thing in the Caribbean?

So basically I have read that even though locals don’t tip that foreigners are expected to tip even if they are not Americans.

I know service fees are a thing like in Europe.

As someone from Sweden I particularly don’t like tipping even though I currently live in the States especially if it’s a tourist only thing and not a local custom.

Currently we are looking at Anguilla, st Martin and Turk’s and Caicos.
