Niche: Do you have any memories/stories from living in Miami in the late 90s to early 2000s?

Hey! I’m SDVV, a nearly 17-year-old aspiring screenwriter/producer in the process of writing a web series set in Miami in the late 90s to early 2000s, centered around Caribbean communities. (Note: this isn’t restricted to Caribbean people; if you’re of other heritage, please share too!)

I’m Haitian, so one of my biggest goals is to create representation that feels genuine and respectful. I know parts of my own culture, but I’d love to hear from other cultures living in these communities back in those days.
