Surf trip in January

Hi – looking to book a surf trip for January 27’ with a couple buddies. Been doing a bunch of research but can’t nail down the right spot..

Also I heard el niño will be intense this year so Peru, Ecuador probably not the right choice?

Also heard Nica pacific is cold water because of the wind.. so left with panama/salvador on that side..

Then Caribbean I’ve heard bocas del toro is great but crowded.. then there’s costa rica, pr, and a few others…

Honestly I could do Asia too.. Menta’s a bit too expensive for us though..

Just looking for some relaxing tropical beaches with consistent chill surf… i guess thats everyone’s dream spot.. We’re good with not having much to do around though.

Any knowledge and experiences would be extremely appreciated.
