holiday help!

Me and my partner (late 20’s/30’s) are from the UK and hoping to book a holiday in July somewhere hot with a beach – ideally Carribbean/Mexico or somewhere else long haul.

I am used to all inclusive hotels in the Caribbean that I went to with my family when I was younger, which I loved. The reputation of all inclusives may be poor but they provide great value, and are safe etc. However my partner has not been to one and is less keen than me.

Can you do the Caribbean or Mexico bed and breakfast/ self catered?? Is it safe?

Or anywhere else in the world anyone recommends?

FYI we just love beaches / cocktail / relaxation with something to keep uso occupied occasionally.
