The defence of Saragarhi turned a small frontier signal post into one of the most legendary last stands in military history. On the North-West Frontier, 21 Sikh soldiers of the 36th Sikhs held their ground against a far larger attacking force, keeping the heliograph link open between Fort Lockhart and Fort Gulistan for as long as they could.

This historical documentary follows the battle from the strategic importance of the Samana Range to the leadership of Havildar Ishar Singh and the discipline of the defenders under impossible pressure. It also explores how the fight was witnessed through real-time messages, what the surviving evidence supports, and how later memory shaped the story of Saragarhi.

For viewers searching for military history documentaries, Sikh history, frontier warfare, and famous last stands, this is a detailed account of courage, duty, and sacrifice. It is also ideal for anyone interested in British Indian Army history, battlefield storytelling, and carefully researched war history.
