Le Tour des Alpes a commencé très fort ce lundi avec la victoire en solitaire de Geoffrey Bouchard, le coureur de l’équipe AG2R Citroën Team ! Plus costaud que ses cinq compagnons d’échappée, le Dijonnais s’est envolé à 25 kilomètres de l’arrivée, avant de résister au retour du peloton pour décrocher le premier succès de sa carrière. Arrivée quelques secondes après le vainqueur du jour, le peloton – composé d’une quarantaine de coureurs – a été réglé par l’Espagnol Pello Bilbao (Bahrain Victorious) devant un autre Français, Romain Bardet (Team DSM). Outre l’étape, Geoffrey Bouchard s’offre également le maillot de leader du classement général et le maillot de meilleur grimpeur.
