VENEZUELA, KOMPAS.TV – Warga setempat mengenang momen-momen mengerikan saat serangan Amerika Serikat terhadap Fort Tiuna, sebuah kompleks militer besar yang terletak di selatan Caracas, Venezuela pada Sabtu (3/1/2026) dini hari waktu setempat.

Warga menggambarkan ledakan yang memekakkan telinga dan kekacauan yang terjadi.

Diketahui, Militer Amerika Serikat melancarkan serangkaian serangan udara ke Venezuela dan menangkap Presiden Nicolas Maduro beserta istrinya, yang kemudian diterbangkan keluar dari negara Amerika Selatan tersebut.

Fort Tiuna, yang menjadi lokasi Kementerian Pertahanan Venezuela yang termasuk target serangan udara AS.

Beberapa jam setelah serangan, kepulan asap masih terus membubung dari instalasi militer tersebut, dengan udara dipenuhi bau hangus.
