Calvin George Scott (3 September 1959 – 11 March 2025), better known as Coco Tea, was a singer and composer of Giamaicano Reggae. His first adventure in the music industry at the age of 14 in 1974, when he published « Searching in the Hills » for the Little Willie of Willie Francis label. In 1984, he achieved great successes with first « Rocking Dolly » and then « I Lost My Sonia », under the name of Cocoa Tea. In 1990 he published the great success « Rikers Island » with the Mr Doo label. Its success continued in the 90s, with songs such as ‘Bust Outta Hell’ again for Junjo, ‘Tune in’ for Jammys. Best reggae labels including VP Records, Greensleeves Records and Ras Records, founded its Roaring Lion label around 2000. Morned March 11, 2025 for a cardiac arrest.
