Info de Reddit: Is ghosting just the standard now, or do we just not know how to tell someone « no »?

I’m looking at the dating scene here and I just have to ask: when did we as big, grown adults become so terrified of communication?

You will be talking to someone every day, going on dates, and then the moment they lose interest or find someone else, they just vanish into thin air. We are too old to be playing hide and seek. What happened to just having the manners to say, « Hey, I don’t think this is a match for me »?

Do you think people ghost because they genuinely don’t care, or because they are just too cowardly to have a slightly uncomfortable 2-minute conversation?
