Nawab Fort was built in 1927 by Khan Bahadur Nawab Zaman Khan Afridi (Kuki Khel – Sherkhan Khel). The fort is located in Khaist near Dwa Toey area of Tirah Valley in Khyber District of Pakhtunkhwa.
Nawab Zaman Khan was a brave leader who represented not only the Afridi tribe but also the millions of tribal people living on the Pak-Afghan border. Nawab Fort of Tirah still witness the glory and command of his leadership towards his great tribe of Afridis. He and his family commanded the tribe for almost a century.
