Am I wrong for asking a question in my work place?

I work in this fast food place for 3 months, and I wanna know more about the company. So I had ask one of my managers, “what type of manager are you” because I wanna update my resume, and if I just put “mangers” it will sound like if I’m lying. All i simply asked “what type of managers are you all” and she told me to search a dictionary. She can’t even spell dictionary.
