Hi
Need help planning my babymoon. I’ll be about 5 months in April when we are looking to go. I’d like somewhere that has a lively vibe/beach club within walking distance , but not too much of a party where I feel left out since obviously I cannot drink. However we are early 30s so we don’t want to feel like we’re in a retirement home either.
Here is my wishlist: – beachfront or walking distance to beach
-
insulated/ AC etc, not too many critters
-
would love a private pool cottage or suite, definitely need a nice pool on property
-
Food: I’m not interested in “fancy,” bland or European inspired food. I really just want a big grilled lobster and to eat it on a beach lounger with a virgin Pina colada, fresh fruit, saltfish bakes, smoothies, fish tacos etc
-boutique hotel or resort: less than 50 rooms
-some color to the property: a lot of these resorts are stark white linen and grey vibe and while pretty I’m looking for more of a happy cozy place while still having “luxury” amenities and finishes. I love touches of wood and terracotta, corals, pinks, blues and yellows! Especially when walking around town
-option to leave the resort and be safe walking on foot or via cab
Here are some properties on the short list: -Geejam, Jamaica -Coral Sands Inn, Harbour Island -Mount Cinnamon, Grenada -Palm Heights, GC ( I like the colors, but vibe seems more South Beach, less Caribbean) -Kontiki Resort Curaçao
Our budget for the accommodations is $7K or less. If you’ve stayed at any of these places or know of similar/ small hotels or resorts with these vibes please chime in! We’re traveling from the U.S. and like less than a 7 hour travel.
Thank you!
Edit: we’re looking to stay 4-5 nights
