We are a couple, no kids. We usually are explorers, not just beach goers, and enjoy discovering nature, culture, local people and food.

However, I recently had a surgery. Nothing serious, but still. We are looking for some beautiful destination to hang out after I am allowed to freely move and eat everything again.

So this time, ideally it’s a beautiful beach, not over exploited, but also not in the farthest corner. Ideally not too many people, but also not necessarily deserted. Not looking for the elusive « most beautiful caribbean beach », but certainly sand, clean water and (postcard) colors. We usually don’t mind bumpy (boat) rides and long displacement, but this time it should probably be at reasonable reach. No luxury. But for sure a clean, comfortable place, not just a hut, so not the most frugal budget. Ideally not in a huge hotel. And possibly with options for local food at strolling distance (30mins is fine) or short easy displacement ride away. Not fine dining, just great food. No nightlife necessary, but we don’t mind as long as tranquil sleep is ensured.

We are definitely not picky.

I tried to put down what we are looking for, I hope this doesn’t translate to « this doesn’t exist ». Appreciate all suggestions.
