Hello everyone! So I’ve been in the process of getting my Antiguan and Barbudan citizenship by descent and I just sent my papers to my closest consulate so they can be sent to the islands to be verified that Im eligible to apply. But, there’s one issue. I’ve had a meltdown with one of my parents (the one who I inherit my Antiguan lineage from) and it’s the last straw for me. Therefore, it only do I think I’ll ever talk to him again, but the rest of the family is just the same as him. In my application, it says that I need a letter from an Antiguan national to vouch for me on my behalf to get citizenship. But the only person I know that has citizenship is a family member which I do not know very well and have no contact with, and I don’t know anyone on the island myself. If/When I find out that my papers are good to go, what will I do? Is the letter really that important in the application process? If it’s necessary, what could happen if I can’t find someone to vouch for me?

Thank you all so much in advance, all responses are greatly appreciated! 🇦🇬❤️✨
