Communiqué of the 74th Meeting of the OECS Authority

The 74th Assembly of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) was held in St. Kitts and Nevis from February 14th to 15th, 2024. It was presided over by the Honorable Dr. Terrance Drew, who serves as the Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis.

The Honorable Serge Letchimy, who holds the position of President of the Executive Council of the Territorial Authority of Martinique, delivered remarks concerning Martinique’s affiliation with the OECS. He expressed a keen interest in fostering a more profound and dynamic partnership between Martinique and the OECS. Honorable Letchimy highlighted the abundant opportunities for enhancing collaboration among the OECS Member States across various sectors such as trade, education, health, agriculture, and others. He emphasized that the sizable demographics of the French associate Member States could serve as a valuable trade market for the OECS and serve as a gateway to France and Europe.
