Dominica for my birthday in August (10 days) — need advice!

Hi!

I am going to Dominica for my birthday in August, solo, and I’d love advice on things I must see, eat, and do. I love traveling like a local and indulging in the culture. I love rainforest, swimming, hot springs, biking. I am a foodie, I love seafood and chicken. I don’t eat beef or pork.

I am thinking about staying in Portsmouth. Should. I split my time between there and Roseau ?

Please send me activities, food recommendations, and contact numbers for tour guides.

I won’t be renting a car, I’ll be using public transportation.

So far I’ve heard of:

• Boat hopping to different islands from Dominica • Indian River • Emerald Pool • Titou Gorge 

I’ll be there for 10 days so I want to make sure I plan out my time seeing the absolute necessary things and not just the overhyped tourist stuff.
