Dominica travel question – Bus from airport to Roseau on Saturday afternoon?

Hello, and thanks in advance for any info you can provide.

I’m planning a trip to Dominica and would like to stay for part of my time there in the Roseau Valley. I’d be landing on a Saturday at about 3:30pm on the AA flight from Miami. I won’t have much luggage – just a carry-on plus a backpack.

If I leave the airport as expected around 4-4:30pm, will I be able to take a bus to Roseau? I can’t seem to find a definitive answer – the internet suggests buses might run until 5-6 at least, but the hotel is telling me there are no buses and that I should take a taxi. I’m just trying to figure out my options and avoid spending unnecessary cash on private transport if I can.

As a follow-up, if there are indeed no buses, how feasible is it for me to share a taxi with other travelers? Is that something commonly done in Dominica?
