With Spicemas 2026 right around the corner for August 10–11, I wanted to put together a solid, practical breakdown for anyone planning their trip or thinking about heading down to Grenada for Carnival season.

Spicemas is incredible, but if it’s your first time, navigating fetes, transport, housing, and the actual parade days can be a lot. Here are the key things you need to know upfront:

Carnival Monday (Aug 10): J’ouvert starts in the early hours (around 4:00 AM) in St. George’s. Monday Night Mas starts later in the evening.

Grand Anse: Top pick for first-timers. Easy access to the beach, food, and quick transport into St. George’s.
