Juvenile reef fish in the rocky shallows of St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands

During our visit, we identified juvenile reef fish using shallow pools among coastal rocks and crevices. The camera then pans out to show this small habitat beside the wider Caribbean Sea.

We are documenting how young fish use these coastal spaces. Their presence is a field observation; whether this site functions as a nursery remains a research question.
