Hey everyone!
I’m planning a last-minute trip to Mexico in mid-February with my sister, and we’re looking for an all-inclusive resort (AI) to help us fully unwind. I’m hoping to just turn my brain off, enjoy lots of drinks, and not have to think about where to eat for five days. We’d love to do an excursion or venture out for a meal if we get tired of the resort.
A little about us:
- Budget: $2300 max for 5 nights
- Vibe: We’re both in our mid-30s, so we’re looking for a fun, social scene but not a crazy party resort. We’d prefer something on the smaller side—nothing too overwhelming.
- Previous Experience: I’ve been to Secrets Akumal and Secrets Playa Mujeres in the past and loved the vibe there, but it’s not in the budget right now.
This trip is super important for me after receiving some tough medical news, so I’m really hoping to make it a relaxing escape.
Here’s what we’re looking for:
- Swim-up bar
- 24/7 room service
- Good food & multiple restaurants (variety is key!)
- Clean, sandy beach (nothing rocky!)
- A clean resort that’s not super outdated (preferably on the beach)
- Ideally, less than an hour from Cancun Airport
I know my budget is a bit of a stretch, but does anyone have any recommendations that might work? And if anyone has a travel agent they’ve worked with to help save money, I’d love to hear about that too.
Thanks so much for your help!
