I emailed an attorney in Trinidad on March 9th. It’s now April and I still haven’t heard back. Not even an acknowledgment.
I’m in the US trying to purchase a foreclosed property back home and I needed answers to some pretty straightforward questions. I followed up. Still nothing.
So now I’m back to square one, looking for a new attorney, which means starting the whole vetting process over again. Finding someone who actually communicates, who gets what it’s like to be doing this from abroad, and who I can trust with something this big.
Nobody tells you this part. You think the hard part is figuring out what you want. Then you realize finding the right people to help you get there is its own whole obstacle course.
If you’re relocating back to T&T and you’ve been through this — how did you find an attorney you actually trusted? Because I’m all ears right now.
