Short Story I read for CSEC

I read a short story set in one of the Caribbean countries and I’m trying to find the title. The general plot is about a criminal who runs away from a crime scene and meets a policeman on the road who turns out to be his estranged son. The son was hunting down the criminal father and the story ends with the father getting shot.

Does this ring any bells? I’m trying to find the story and by extension the collection of short stories I read this in.
