Visit time/location advice?

Hello! Looking for some advice on where in the Caribbean to visit based on our interests and criteria.

-We are a late 20s couple

-Looking to visit either end of May or beginning of July for ~5 days. We don’t mind a little rain but would like to avoid it as much as possible.

-Flying from Boston, likely going to look for nonstop or flights with only 1 layover.

-Looking for somewhere to relax on the beach, but also things to do around town/the island. Open to staying at resorts but definitely don’t want to spend the whole trip only at the resort.

-Ideally would do 1-2 big activities a day then spend the rest of the day relaxing

-We love outdoors activities, like hiking and snorkeling. One of us is scuba certified.

-We are big foodies, love trying new foods and restaurants

Where would you reccomend visiting and would late May or early July be better?
