What words would you use to describe Caribbean accents?

I’m writing a story, and I need a word to describe the difference in how a certain community in the Caribbean spoke when compared to the mother country (in this case being the Netherlands). I know how it sounds when I hear it, but in this case is it more of a lilt? Twang?

I’m aware that every country will have differences in the accent, but if there’s a generalization here it would be helpful. It’s not that important in the story.
